From sand dunes to paddy fields, the variety of scenery in this area is fascinating. The bird life in the December to March is also notable. It is a harsh land demanding much and giving back little.

The bird life among the sand dunes was fantastic. This was in mid December 2011. Somehow the armed conflict in the area had not caused much damage to these birds. The peace and serenity of centuries past has returned.
