A 'ring watch' and a 'white gold' ring, Angunukolapalessa, Sri Lanka.

I was having a chat by the side of the road at Angunukolapalessa with this old gentleman riding a bicycle. He showed me a 'Roamer' wind up watch set on a ring, which he had bought in 1960 for Sri Lankan Rs.75/-. He said that it still keeps perfect time. He was wearing a ring on the other hand which he claimed was made of 'white gold'.

Well paved roads and a papaw plantation by the road side at Angunukolapalessa on the Embilipitiya - Ranne road. The lush green trees were a beautiful sight in this once arid land.
