Vavuniya is a bustling town now. You can buy brand new tractors, cars, three wheelers etc.

On the A9 highway, Medawachchiya to Poonewa.

A pleasant drive with the road 'arrow-straight' but with small climbs and dips. The lush greenery on either side of the road was a treat.

The highway is 90% compete and was a pleasure to travel in. The regular luxury buses from Colombo go with hardly a bump on the completed parts of this highway.
