A vineyard needs a lot of initial investment and subsequent care. This is called a 'Rasa-payir' meaning a 'King of crops'. These brought much revenue before the troubles started in Jaffna in the 1970s. They are now being revived.

Kantharodai - T, Kadurugoda - S, Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

Temple courtyard on the way to 'Kantharodai'  T- 'Kadurugoda' - S, where some valuable archeological finds were unearthed accidentally. This is now an archaeologically 'protected site'.
